Welcome to Orbe

Orbe is completely free, with no limit on the number of profiles. This page takes you from download to your first running profile.

Two things to know up front: the installer is not code-signed (Windows will warn once on first run — step 2 explains why and what to do), and older versions update to 1.0.17 automatically. Orbe 1.0.17 is free, with no profile limit. We keep updating it, free for everyone.
1

Download & verify the installer

  1. Download orbe-setup.exe from the downloads page (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). It is served over HTTPS and includes Orbe's own browser — there is nothing else to download.
  2. Verify the file matches the SHA-256 shown next to the download. In PowerShell:
Get-FileHash .\orbe-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Compare the printed hash to the one on the page — they must match. Orbe also verifies any update against a published SHA-256 before applying it.

2

First run — the Windows warning

The installer isn't code-signed, so the first time you run the installer Windows SmartScreen shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen, and may call Orbe an "unrecognized app". This is normal for brand-new software that Windows hasn't seen before — it is not a virus warning.

To continue: click More info, then Run anyway.

Why it happens: Windows shows this for software that isn't code-signed. Verifying the SHA-256 in step 1 confirms the file downloaded intact and matches the checksum published on the downloads page. If Orbe doesn't open after install: Reinstall Orbe.
3

Connect the app to your account

Create a free account at app.orbebrowser.com (email or Google). Then connect Orbe to it in one of two ways:

  • One-time code (easiest). In the dashboard open API Key → Connect the Orbe app → Get a one-time code. When Orbe starts, paste the code into the Welcome to Orbe box and continue — the app saves your API key (it starts with orbe_) by itself. The code is shown once and works on one computer; reinstalling on the same computer can reuse it. If you already had a key, using a code replaces it, so tools that used the old key need the new one.
  • I have a key. Copy your key from API Key in the dashboard, choose I have a key in the Welcome box, and paste it in Settings → Account.

If the app says the code isn't valid, check you copied all of it, or get a new one from the dashboard.

Your orbe_ key is your only Orbe credential — no one at Orbe will ever ask for a password, and the browser never asks for one.

Set up your first profile

With your key active, in the profile manager:

  1. Create your first profile (see Profiles).
  2. Attach a proxy — recommended, since it gives the profile its own IP (see Proxy).
  3. Open the profile.

The full walkthrough is in Get started; this page is just a quick welcome.

5

Try it

Use the profile as you normally would. When you're ready, explore automation — drive a profile from your own code or an AI assistant (Automation & SDK), or build a no-code workflow (Workflow Editor).

What to expect

  • Free, no profile limit. Every feature is available. See the FAQ.
  • Orbe 1.0.17 is free, with no profile limit. We keep updating it, free for everyone. Older versions update to 1.0.17 automatically.
  • Unsigned installer. Expect a one-time SmartScreen prompt on first run (see step 2).
  • Known limits. Automated typing rhythm isn't close to a real person's yet; flows don't support file downloads, Google Sheets, 2FA codes or captcha solving (those steps are skipped with a warning); Windows is the only version available.
  • The honest line holds: Orbe gives each account a consistent, real-looking machine and its own IP — how you nurture your accounts is still your part. No tool can promise an account will never be banned.
